As many of you know volunteerism is a requirement for all families here at Timberline Learning Center. We require each family to donate either 1 hour of their time of their time or $15 worth of materials per month. To make this easier for our families, all of our volunteer opportunities will now be announced through a website called SignUp Genius.  All volunteer opportunities will be listed on one page, while recycling help has it's own sign up page.  Please keep checking the page regularly as it will be updated when new items are requested or chaperones are needed. Our hope is that this will keep everyone more connected as well as being more 'green' by not using as much paper. The more you use the SignUp Genius website, the easier it will get; especially if you sign up to become a member of the website. This website will help you remember what you have signed up for by sending email reminders and it will help track volunteer hours so nothing gets missed.

About Timberline:

We are a school for young children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Our approach is Reggio Emilia inspired. The following principles guide our approach and curriculum: The child is an active, strong, competent collaborator in the evolution of their learning. The teacher is a guide, rather than an instructor, who observes, questions, researches, documents, reflects, and interprets. The classroom is a teacher unto itself! The relationships that develop between the children, their families, and the teachers create opportunity for growth, reflection, and support. Long-term projects are at the core of our program, using the children’s interests, and the teacher’s observations, as the guide.
